 Lifelong Formation

 and Education

The mission of the Lifelong Formation & Education is to teach Catholic beliefs, traditions and values as well as to provide support, formation and training in the context of deepening spirituality.

CRE (Christian Religious Education)
This ministry helps in teaching Catholic religious education to children not attending catholic schools. Holy Family participates in the Inter-Parish Family Faith Formation program (IFFF).  This Religious Faith Formation program is a collaborative effort among five parishes in our region and is intended for students in grades kindergarten through eight who are not attending a parish school.  Ours is a family-based program where
weekly lessons are completed at home, with a monthly large group family event held at Saint Stephen Martyr or another participating parish. The monthly family event includes prayer, check-in lesson overview with children, and parent enrichment. The monthly session ends with a seasonal/liturgical activity for all families.  The IFFF is planned and facilitated by a team of certified, ambitious, and faith-filled catechists. Sacramental preparation for Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation is offered for all registered families. IFFF runs September through May. Use the link above or contact the parish office for more information.

OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation-Children)
OCIC is the process by which a child is taught (catechized) and welcomed into theChurch as a full member. The goal is to bring unbaptized children of catechetical age (7+) into full Communion with the Church. OCIC is held as needed to work with your
schedule. Use the link above or contact the parish office for more information.

OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults)

OCIA is the process through which unbaptized adults are fully initiated into the Catholic faith community.  These adults are prepared to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and/or Eucharist at the Easter Vigil. OCIA is held as needed to work with your schedule. Use the link above or contact the parish office for more information.
